CNN finds that in the wake of recent shootings, support for gun control has dropped. Bill Schneider, CNN's resident number twister, describes the results as "surprising".

Jeff Soyer wonders whether:

...The fact that the MSM is spending more time profiling the sick mutants who commit mass shootings is having an unintended — for the anti-gun media — effect of convincing many that it really IS the mind of the killer, not his weapon, that is the problem.

I would argue that the transparently opportunistic exploitation of shootings by the gun control lobby is so incredibly vulgar that it can't help but repulse honest people. The gun banners' obvious glee at spilled blood - year after year - has tainted their message.
