I bought my home defense shotgun today. Funny thing, when I got home the bar crowd had already sucked up all the parking in my section of the Fan District, so I had to walk for several blocks carrying the shotgun (unloaded) wrapped up in a beach blanket. I felt very strange, thinking, "This is obviously a long gun wrapped in a beach blanket. Someone will call the police," but I got home without incident.

I'll probably head up to Green Top tomorrow to get some 12 gauge shells. What's best kind for urban defense? Buckshot? Slugs?
